General FAQs

 Yes. On the product details page of an out of stock product you will see a bar that reads 'email when available'. Simply click on that, enter your email address, and you will be instantly notified when that item is re-stocked. Be quick though, as sometimes there are more people on the list than plants available and they can sell out again super quickly! 

Yes. We can include a hand written note for you at no extra charge, or greeting cards are available to purchase here. Simply let us know in the 'notes to seller' box on the cart page that it's a gift, and include your message. No prices or receipt will be included. If the recipient is in Sydney and you would like your gift hand delivered, we can also work with you on finding a matching pot, ensuring the perfect gift! 

Unless specified, plants pictured are an average from the actual batch for sale. The plant you receive may vary slightly in size, colour, and shape. 

Yes. Create an account simply by clicking on the rewards logo on bottom left of screen. Earn points ( or 'beanz' as we call them ) simply by making purchases. You can also earn extra beanz by referring friends, and you even receive bonus beanz on your birthday!

You will usually find basic plant care in the description of each plant. We've found that every plant is an individual, and factors that affect care include light, humidity, AC/ heat, number of other plants nearby, pot size and material etc. Most plants will definitely let you know what they need. The Sustee moisture meter can also be fantastic help for your diva plants. Newbies are welcome to contact us for more detailed care tips, or an online search will give you all the info you can possibly ask for!

Orders shipped via Auspost express are packed carefully in boxes and sent through the post. Local delivery orders are placed in open bags or boxes and literally hand delivered to your door.

We are constantly growing or sourcing new plants and usually post new stock online Wednesday evenings. The best way to keep up to date with our new merchandise is by subscribing to our newsletter and becoming a green bean. Subscribing also ensures you get advance notification of sales and promotions, or subscriber only offers. 

We know there are many choices out there when it comes to online plant sellers. Many are inexperienced and are in it to make a quick buck, and offer no after purchase support. Green Beanz was officially born early in 2018, but we've been working with plants for much longer.

Shipping FAQs

All plants are shipped in their pots. We use compostable plastic bags to keep the soil from dislodging in transit, and 100% biodegradable 'foam peanuts' as void fill. We pack in a way that ensures minimum movement during transit, so your plants arrive in top condition. We have been doing this for over 3 years and have perfected our technique! 

After receiving your confirmation email there are no updates until your order ships. We ship Mon- Fri (excluding public holidays) and all orders ship within two business days  You will have the option to track your order via SMS or email updates. 

Most orders arrive within two days of shipping, however, depending on where you live delivery times may vary. Some areas are experiencing delays due to  Covid-19 and the huge demands it is placing on Auspost. Keep an eye on your parcel via tracking and if you see a delay, let us know so we can chase it up for you.

We can ship anywhere in Australia excluding NT, WA, and TAS. Unfortunately, those states have quarantine laws which do not allow us to ship there. For those living in quarantine states, we are happy to ship to a plant concierge. 

 Please note: Depending on which concierge you use, plants may ship bare rooted. 

We ship Mon-Fri excluding public holidays. Many orders ship next day, and all ship within two business days! 

Local delivery FAQs

Please contact us at info@greenbeanz.com.au if you require Mon-Fri delivery, and we will do our best to accommodate. We can sometimes delivery on a particular day to help make birthdays and other important days even more special!

You will receive an email the day before delivery with a one hour time window. You do not have to be home unless you live in a unit/secure building and there is no concierge desk to leave your order with. There is nothing to sign, so if you're not home your order will be left at the front door. If you live at an address that is tricky to find, any helpful tips are much appreciated!  

If unsure if we deliver to your area, select a 'local delivery only' product and a popup will appear. Simply enter your postcode to check eligibility. 

Cost is determined by location. Zones for delivery are $5, $8, $10, or $14. Orders over $100 receive free delivery- regardless of which zone you're in!

Deliveries are made every weekend, and you will receive an email the day before with a one hour time window for delivery. Depending on location, orders placed after midnight Friday may not be delivered until the week after.

Our plants are packaged extremely carefully and posted within hours of being packed, in order to reach their destination as quickly as possible. We only source and grow healthy plants, ensuring what we send is excellent quality. We are aware sometimes plants and boxes can be affected by transport. If there is an issue, please contact us immediately so we can work with you on a resolution. Pics are also very helpful!
