Botanical name - Anthurium vittariifolium
Common name - Anthurium vittariifolium
Plant info - Anthuriums are in the ever-popular Ariod family and are known for being easy-care plants that collectors can't get enough of! Anthurium vittariifolium has long, strappy leaves that can grow to an impressive 2.4 meters. It is epiphytic in nature which means it doesn't need soil to grow and will happily live in the fork of a tree or an old wooden stump.
Plant care - This plant will thrive in a humid position in bright to moderate filtered light and needs well draining soil. Water when the soil is dry a few cm down in the pot, it doesn't like to fully dry out. Give it a feed once a month through Spring and Summer with a good quality liquid fertiliser and watch it grow!
Growing in a 100 mm pot, the vittariifolium has a strappy and somewhat velvety feeling narrow leaf that looks great in a hanging pot.
